We currently offer a white glove delivery service which includes delivery to a room of choice, assembly and removal of packaging. This service is currently available for orders shipped to the UK only. Rates are as follows.

Risk of the goods shall pass to you on delivery but the goods shall remain the property of Dara Maison until they are paid for in full. In the case of payment by cheque, this will be when the funds have cleared in our account. Until you become the owner of the goods you shall not sell the goods or part with possession of the goods. We may, for the purpose of recovery, enter any premises where the goods are stored for the reason of repossession. 

RETURNS

At Dara Maison great design and quality is of the upmost importance to us, and we are sure you will be in love with your new furniture. On the rare occasion you would like to return your item to us our Returns Policy applies, and is supported by our Warranty and Guarantee Terms & Conditions.  Please contact our team on sales@daramaison.com with your original order reference and your reason for the return. 

RETURNING STOCK ITEMS

I’ve changed mind my mind

Should you not love your new purchase, you can arrange to return your item(s) within 14 days of receipt provided the item(s) are unused and in perfect condition.  Items that have been purchased on a promotional sale or special offer, or are bespoke or made-to-order items, or items that are stated as “sold as
seen” are not eligible for returns, exchanges or credit notes unless they are defective within the terms and conditions of our Warranty and Guarantee.

Change of mind returns can be requested for a refund or exchange, depending on stock availability.  Once you notify us of your wish to start a return we will arrange transport to collect the item(s) from you and return them to our warehouse within 30 days.  Please be aware that returned items will be subject to the return and restocking fees listed below:

  • £99.90 - Orders under £1000
  • £199.90 - Orders between £1001 - £5000
  • £399.90 - Orders between £5001 - £10,000
  • £599.90 - Orders between £10,001 - £20,000
  • £999.90 - Orders £20,001 and above

These fees only apply to orders which have been placed and supplied within the UK. For orders placed outside of the UK please contact sales@daramaison.com to discuss the return and restocking fees.

Should you wish to arrange return transport which is not approved by Dara Maison, we bear no liability for any damage or faults which may occur, and you will be liable for a restocking charge up to the full value of the item should it be received back in a condition in which it was not supplied.

Shipping and delivery charges are not eligible for a refund.  We will only pay for the costs of the return transport where the item(s) are deemed faulty or have been supplied in error.  Refunds for returns are capped at a maximum of the value of the item being returned (less the relevant return and restocking
fee). Additional cost services included but not limited to interior design services, special delivery arrangements and installations are not eligible for a refund, unless covered by the terms and conditions of our Warranty and Guarantee, or an applicable law of England and Wales.

For refunds, once we have received the item(s) we will arrange a refund less the relevant return and restocking fee, provided that the item(s) has been returned unused and in perfect condition. Items which are returned not in the condition in which they were supplied, including mattresses which have been taken out of sealed packaging will be subject to further restocking fees, calculated at the sole discretion of Dara Maison up to a maximum of 100% of the
order value.  For exchanges, upon receipt of the returned item we will issue a store credit, minus any return and restocking fees, so you can place a new order for an alternative item.

If, upon examination of the returned item we find that there is a discrepancy with the stated reason for return and/or the condition of the item we reserve the right of discretion to refuse the return.

My item has a fault or defect

Visible defects must be reported to us within 4 calendar days of delivery. After the period of 4 calendar days we hold no liability for visual defects which do not arise within the scope of our Warranty and Guarantee.

All our furniture is fully inspected prior to leaving our factory. Damage arising from delivery transport must be reported on the delivery note to the carrier upon delivery.  Where items cannot be reasonably inspected the delivery note must be signed stating this.  If damage on delivery or an inability to inspect the items is not recorded on the delivery note we hold no liability for alleged damage caused to the items.

Should you wish to return an item due to a fault or defect arising within 14 days of delivery, please contact our team on sales@daramaison.com with your original order reference and your reason for the return.  We will then arrange transport to collect the item(s) from you and return them to our warehouse within 30 days. Once we have received the returned item(s) we will issue a full refund, subject to an inspection of the returned item(s) within a reasonable period and these meeting with the terms and conditions of our Warranty and Guarantee.  If a replacement item is preferred we will be happy to arrange this, subject to availability.

If, upon examination of the returned item we find that there is a discrepancy with the stated reason for return and/or the condition of the item we reserve the right of discretion to refuse the return.

Should you wish to return an item due to a fault or defect outside of the 14 day return period, the terms and conditions of our Warranty and Guarantee will apply. We will repair or replace with a comparable product (including alternatives to items which may have been discontinued), at our option and free of charge (for material and components) any product, part or component which fails under normal use. If repair or replacement is not commercially practicable, we will provide a refund or credit for the affected product.  The maximum liability of any repairs or remediation is the maximum value of the goods only at the time of purchase.  Please see our Warranty and Guarantee Terms & Conditions for full details.

Goods shipped outside of the UK

If a fault is discovered after you have exported your goods out of the UK, it is your responsibility to return the goods to the UK, at your cost, for inspection.  We will only deliver repaired or replacement items to a UK destination. If you then wish for the goods to be exported it will be your responsibility to do this, at your own cost.  For export orders, it is therefore recommended that inspection takes place in the UK prior to shipment. 

BESPOKE AND CUSTOM ORDERS

During the bespoke design process we will ask you to confirm acceptance of the design in writing, and sign off all design and product details, prior to the production of furniture.  Once the order has been confirmed any changes will be chargeable to you. Any changes at this stage may affect both the cost of the item and the delivery schedule. If during the design process you provide us with an image, we cannot guarantee an exact match unless you provide complete technical drawings. Technical drawings produced by us as part of the design process for signing off bespoke and custom orders will be chargeable.  Slight differences in dimensions may occur due to the materials used to construct the furniture. If the furniture is required to fit in a specific space you must notify us of this in writing during the design process. 

All cancellations of bespoke and custom orders must be notified in writing and will be subject to a cancellation fee up to a maximum of 100% of the complete order value in payment of costs incurred by us up to the point of cancellation, including any design services or additional services provided to you.

We cannot accept any returns for bespoke and custom-made products (this includes Customers Own Material supplied products) unless they are faulty or defective. In the very rare occurrence, your bespoke or custom-made product develops a fault, the terms and conditions of our Warranty and Guarantee will apply.

CANCELLATIONS

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you are entitled to cancel an order placed and paid for directly through www.daramaison.com within 14 days of the order. This is the statutory cooling off period. After this period has expired there is no right to cancel, and a cancellation fee may apply.  We reserve the right to refuse any cancellation request, which do not fall within the applicable law of England and Wales.

The statutory cooling off period is not applicable for bespoke or made-to-order items.

The cooling off period is also not applicable when, for example, a mattress has been taken out of its sealed packaging. 

DISPUTES

At Dara Maison we make every effort to offer the highest possible standard of service. Any contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.
